A book written by MaGNuM has now officially been released for purchase all around the world.
It is not a book about dancing (as could be expected), but a biographical poem collection from MaGNuM’s early years. It is chronologically ordered so that the reader will get to experience the emotional and philosophical obstacles of life viewed from MaGNuM’s perspective, but translated into sharp poems.

recent activities

It the last couple of months most of the activities that took place invloved training, teaching, and learning.
The 50th youtube video was celebrated by a video of some of the things that didn’t go as planned during the makings of the tutorial.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is that a new (street) dance style is going to be added to the tutorials.

This new project will allow anyone, who is willing, to learn to dance. The different tutorials that will be shared, will come in 3 difficulty levels; beginner, advanced, and expert (marked with stars). Something for all dancers of any experience.
The tutorials will include the more complex movements from b-boying, and choreographies from different dance styles.

These are the first three:
-baby freeze
-flare
-popping choreography

MaGNuM’s Had Talent

Unfortunately, dance skills and dance expression does not have much value in a commercial competition which ironically claims to search for talent. MaGNuM is out of the race by misjudging what was needed to go through to the final round. Another lesson learned. Dancing skills are absolutely unnecessary to win such competitions, just an entertaining act (like MaGNuM’s previous choreographies). The average crowd has little knowledge of dancing, so with dance acts, it always needs to be stimulated with something else.
Who knows, maybe next year this new little piece of knowledge will be put to the test.

MaGNuM’s Got Talent

The news can finally be told. MaGNuM participated in Holland’s Got Talent with successful results.
Not only did MaGNuM go through to the live shows in May, he was also dubbed as the best dancer on the show this season.
Because of lack of preparation opportunity, this performance as a whole was done on camera for the first time. It could have been better, but was definitely good enough for a standing ovation from the judges.

Girl power in Beirut 2

Psiertje did an amazing job preforming on Arabs got Talent. All the judges were touched by her energy and presence. Unfortunately de editing of her performance that was aired, was disastrous! Although it’s clear that the editors tried their best with the video editing, getting the audio of a live mixing act shortened, seems to have been too much to handle.
Both her DJ-ing and dance style are still somewhat new to that part of the world, so having one bad clip can bring allot of misunderstandings for this type of entertainment.

On top of that, the injustice was also a burden on the work and guidance that MaGNuM put in to that performance.

There are allot of updates coming soon. Not all can be exposed at this moment due to either some contract agreements or simply for the fun of savoring the surprise element.

OUR B-boys

Bboying is about to evolve, become organised, and bigger than ever before. At the core of this transformation is an objective way of judging b-boy battles called O.U.R System.
Not only will this system secure honest judging and create the possibility to have rankings, but it will also organize b-boying to have advantages like professional sports do.

The brains behind O.U.R. system is the well known b-boy Dyzee.
For over 10 years now, he has dedicated his life, and single-handedly devised a plan for a bright future for all b-boying. Through slots online his hard work, the most spectacular, most hardest, and most unappreciated dance style on the planet, will slowly start to receive its well deserved recognition, and become part of society.

On the 24th and 25th of february 2012, MaGNuM met with Dyzee in Belgium to talk about his support to this righteous cause. Once O.U.R. system will start to spread, MaGNuM will be one of few that will govern not only Holland, but also whole of Europe for the International B-boy Foundation.

Mysophobia at a car scrap yard

On February the 11th, MaGNuM was asked to participate in 3 video clips that will be used for promotion of an internationally televised dance show. The goal of these video”s is to reel people in to watch their show, and at the same time excite young viewers to try the popular dance steps themselves. Besides MaGNuM, 3 other famous dancers from Holland were assigned to this task.

For preperation, each dancer had to make a short choreography in a certain dance style, matching the moves of pop icons in their video clips. The dancers were then suppose to teach each other their choreographies in order to preform each of them as a group. But apparantly, being a famous dancer in Holland no longer obligates you to take dancing seriously, or at least not anymore…

For starters, MaGNuM was the only dancer that had prepared a choreography. According to the other dancers, online casinos australia they either didn”t have the time, or just didn”t feel like it! To make matters worse, all of the Dutch dancers refused to learn the only prepared choreography of the day on grounds of it being too straining, and not simple enough for them to do. The most shocking complaint was their unified fear of having their clothing touch the floor with one the of moves in the choreography. A disgraceful sight, dancers having mysophobia at a car scrap yard.

The rest of the shooting, MaGNuM was forced to follow the simple, repetitive, and uncreative steps that all the other dancers seemed to be voting on to add to the choreographies, just minutes before every take. The only moments of shine were the few spectacular moves that MaGNuM saw fit to do by himself. Apparently he was also the only dancer there that could do any…
